Holiday Gift Card Drive

From October15th to December 15th, AACI collected gift cards and cash donations to provide holiday gifts to underserved children, including children of domestic violence survivors and refugees. Every $25 donation provides a child with a gift card to buy the gift of their choice during the holidays.

The flyers below were shared via social media and email blast. Physical flyer distribution occurred throughout AACI’s four locations and at various outreach events in the community.

Outcome

This year, AACI had a list of over 800 children on the Holiday Drive list. Within 2 months, all communications efforts allowed the organization to raise over $20,000 to provide all the children on our list with a holiday gift.

"Dear AACI Family, I'm here taking this golden chance to say my family and I, we are so thankful for special gift we received from you. You make our holidays shiny and happy. We send our love to you all and wish you a joyful holiday too. I'm excited to join you, any day and times.”

"Happy Holidays! Thank you for the generous gift. From our home to yours, we hope you have a happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year! Sending joy and cheer."

"Thank you so much for the gift cards. They are a really big help for me during the holidays. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a Great New Year."

Your Helping Hand

Running parallel to the Holiday Gift Card Drive, the Your Helping Hand campaign consisted of two direct mailings with the goal of raising money to support refugee families from AACI’s Center for Survivors of Torture. The first mail drop consisted of a 2-page letter, 1-page remittance, remittance envelope, and an outer envelope. The second mail drop consisted of a postcard with a shortened form of the 2-page letter.

In addition to direct mailing, I created a communications plan for all social media posts, email blasts, and video content used in this campaign.

Outcome

With the help of AACI’s generous donor base and matching sponsors at ServiceNow and Physicians Medical Group of San Jose, AACI was able to raise over $60,000 for our Your Helping Hand campaign. This donation allows AACI to remain as committed as ever to providing essential health and wellness services to our community's most vulnerable individuals and underserved families. As per this year’s campaign theme, funding supports AACI’s refugee families from our Center for Survivors of Torture.
